Good morning new media patrons, it’s time to get back to the grind. That means no more Turkey Bowls, Xmas Thanks Yous, Happy New Years, or 2008 mash-up videos.

What’s the Buzz this early morning? Well it looks like LG15 won’t die (we wish it would) and they are having a contest to join their universe.

Maybe they need a DJ to shake things up.

Top 10 It Web Boys to Watch in 2009

We think we should start the new year off right, giving you the top 10 It Web Boys to watch (don’t worry, we’ll be posting the It Web Girls aussi). Whether they are creating a website, starring in a series or running Youtube they all manage to do it and look good. These are the boys that we think will be ‘most-viewed’ in 2009, but who will come out on top?

#1 – Adam Sauter – The Downstairs Guys

5 days a week this resident cutie aka Doug is keepin it fresh on The Downstairs Guys. Sure the show is sexually charged, and is a little bit of masculine nonsense, but Adam gives us two minutes of laughter a day. He did a cameo on Chuck early last fall, but we suspect we’ve only begun to see the beginning of Adam. Number 1 It Web Boy EVER!

#2 – Bo Burnham – Boburham.com

He’s been compared as the new Dane Cook, got a deal with Comedy Central, has an album on itunes, killed it at Youtube Live (our favorite of the night), and later this year be on the lookout for his new film with Judd Apatow. We totally saw him smoking a cigarette, could he possibly be a hidden badboy?

#3 – Owen Benjamin – Owen Benjamin Presents

Owen sure seems to be on the up and up, we are sure he’ll rise all the way to the top. He manages to keep a low profile, I’m counting on my informants to send me the dirt and whereabouts on Owen.

#4 – Kevin Rose - Diggnation

This It Web Boy is the founder of Digg, co-founder of Revision3, his site Pounce was acquired by SixApart and host of Diggnation. Kevin Rose is a digital god, we get it. But what’s next? According to his new years resolutions, he’s looking for a special someone. Putting out a APB on Kevin.

#5 - Amir Blumenfeld – Hardly Working

Amir is always giving us the LOLS with his sketches on Collegehumor.com and soon he’ll be making his move to MTV, we sooooo wish we were hardly working with Amir.

#6 – Jimmy Fallon – Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Sure Jimmy is new to the web and doesn’t understand the difference between a vlog/blog, but he’s trying (he even has a twitter account). We think if Jimmy keeps his online presence once the show goes on the air, he might just be a force to be reckoned with.

#7 – Michael Stahl-David - Behind The Star

Cloverfield star found a home online at Crackle with Behind the Star, and we must admit that we fell in love with Michael over the 13 episodes. We haven’t heard word for of second season yet, but here’s to hoping.

#8 – Ben & Rafi Fine – The Fine Brothers

Sure their humor can be crude, their hair is somewhere between hipster cool and tragic, but these brothers just landed a deal with iklip z, and have over 20 million views on Youtube. Nothing better then brothers to shake things up the Tube!

#9 – Philip De Franco - The Philip De Franco Show

To be completely honest Philip has been on our dull side lately, but we couldn’t exactly ignore this. He has a force on Youtube that is undeniable, we can’t figure out the magnetism, but we are enticed to see if Philip will continue to rise or fall this year?

#10 – Dave O Mathias – Daveomathias.com

Young Daveo isn’t leading the pack, but we think he just needs a little more exposure. His obscure pop culture jokes keep us laughing for days, don’t believe us, just give this video a try, and if you want to keep going peep this.

2009 A True Story 2.0?

We hear that 2009 A True story will be coming back soon for a season 2. New episodes are scheduled for later this year, whatever that means. We have to admit we are excited, this is one series we actually enjoy. To kick things off they are giving away a mixtape, how very 90′s of them.

I am your worst critic and your best friend. I choose anonymity in exchange for forthrightness. I specilaize in the world of web celebrities. I find traditional media dull, and scower the internet finding web series (and some Youtubers) to follow. I hope these new media celebs don’t think that they can go untouched? So don’t be shy, if you happen to spot a web celeb send it over, after all what were camera phones invited for?
